Data use in the test version
Updated 18 October 2026 · TrueRelate web appTrueRelate is a test version for adults. Accounts and partner connections are real. Exercises, profiles and discovery also include local demonstrations and sample data.
Account and cloud data
Google Firebase Authentication handles your email address, sign-in, verification and password reset messages. Firebase handles your password; the app does not save it in form drafts. Your language and colour preferences are saved to your account only when you choose Save to cloud.
Partner invitations, confirmed account connections and usage limit counters are processed on the server. Each person confirms the connection and can end it. Connecting does not automatically share exercise answers or AI conversations.
On this device
Sign-in lasts in the same browser tab. With a verified account, exercise schedules, progress, feedback, personal reflections, appreciation exercise answers and practice settings are saved automatically to Google Firestore and loaded on other devices signed in to the same account. User access is limited to their own answers; partners do not receive them automatically. This is not end-to-end encryption. Wait for the saved confirmation before switching devices. During a connection failure, unsaved edits stay only in tab memory and may be lost when it closes. Daily check-ins, relationship assessments and AI conversations remain local. Without sign-in, practice is local; earlier guest drafts are not automatically imported into an account. Home layout stays in the browser. Optional browser history storage applies only to signed-out use. Use your own device and sign out on shared devices.
AI assistants
Your entered text and form selections are sent to Google's cloud service only after you give permission on the screen and submit a request. The app does not save cloud conversation history or share the response with your partner. AI can make mistakes and does not replace healthcare or therapy. Avoid names, contact information and sensitive information about other people.
Providers and technical data
The website uses OpenAI Sites and Cloudflare. Authentication and backend services use Google Firebase and Google Cloud. Providers process technical data needed for operation and security, such as IP addresses and service logs. Data may be processed internationally; we do not promise that all service data remains in Finland. The app has no added advertising or analytics tracking.

Controls and contact
You can end the partner connection, delete your account under My test account, and clear exercise history and answers in privacy settings. When signed in, clearing history removes it from your account and other devices too. Exercise answers remain in your account until you clear history or delete the account. Account deletion removes preferences and exercise answers and ends the connection. An abuse-prevention deletion marker and technical logs may remain separately. Contact info@truerelate.fi to ask about access, corrections or deletion of your data. Never email your password.
Personal reflection and everyday planning
The optional personal questionnaire saves answers, private notes, progress and separate usage choices to your verified account. Skip questions, resume later, edit or delete your answers. This is a prototype reflection tool, not a validated personality assessment, diagnosis or compatibility prediction. The initial questionnaire and planning interface are in Finnish.
Enabling AI use offers a summary in the assistant. You can copy it into the visible question field, review and edit it. Sending to Google AI still requires explicit consent and the send button. Private notes and partner data are not automatically included. Turning the setting off stops new summary offers; text already copied into your question must be removed separately. This setting cannot retract earlier requests.
The discovery option shows your own conversation topics in your private preview. It neither publishes answers nor computes compatibility scores. Sample profiles have no real answers. Combined analysis of both partners is not available in this version.
Everyday planning stores the home type and size, household and child counts by broad age group, weekly time estimates, chores and a draft division of work. Do not enter children's names, dates of birth, addresses or health details. The draft is private to your account and is not sent to AI or a partner. The adjustable weekly calculation does not confirm anyone else's agreement or check time-of-day conflicts. Account deletion removes these records too. Wait for successful cloud saving before closing.
Intimacy and sexuality (18+)
This optional, initially Finnish-language reflection collects sensitive sexuality-related answers only after explicit consent to account storage for private reflection and continuity across devices. Consent choice, progress, answers, optional notes and selected conversation-draft items are stored in Google Firestore. Storage is not end-to-end encrypted; authorized service administrators may have technical access. A linked partner cannot access the data. It is not sent to AI or used for discovery or combined couple analysis. The conversation draft is a private preview of individually selected answers, excluding free notes.
Withdraw consent and erase this section through its own controls, or delete your account. Successful synchronization clears answers, notes and draft selections on other connected devices; a blank module state remains when only this section is cleared. Data remains until erased or consent/account removal. Other app features do not require this consent. Withdrawal does not undo processing that has already occurred.
Closed-beta approval
Only an administrator can provision a new account for an approved email address. Public self-registration is also disabled in Firebase. Approved testers request a password-setup email and choose their own password. A shared activation-page URL or partner invitation does not grant beta access. Existing sign-in, password reset and account deletion remain available.
